“Excellent HR management and development policies” and “outstanding working conditions”. In short, these are the two HR winning policies highlighted in the 2011 Top Employer survey conducted by the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF).
The survey, based on an ad hoc method developed by the research institute in over 20 years of international experience, once again confirmed Enel as Top employer in 2011, after having already won twice in 2009 and 2010.
According to the survey, Enel’s primary strengths are its “strong social commitment”, constant attention to corporate social responsibility (CSR), “diffusion of corporate values” and the company’s great ability to “manage talents ”.
CRF considers that the Enel Group perfectly combines internationalisation challenges with the search for operative excellence within a competitive market, while constantly keeping employees at the centre of its growth plans.
The survey stressed the relationship between the company and all of its stakeholders. CRF pointed out that “Enel has adopted a Code of Ethics that contains the Group’s principles and responsibilities in conducting the company’s activities, regulating and standardizing business behaviours, characterized by utmost transparency and fairness ”.
The company profile that summarised the results of the CRF research offers a bird’s eye view of Enel and of focus on corporate social responsibility as a daily practice. The research institute analysed all of the Group’s different lines of business, including ongoing training especially through Enel University to Enel Cuore’s activities, constant priority of workplace safety and the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Index certification, as well as the 2010-2014 five-year investment plan for the carbon capture and storage.
