Future challenges of energy and environment go through our offices and our
laboratories. We can now safely say that those who work at Enel no longer only
deal with electricity, meters and bills.
The challenges of liberalizing the electricity market, and those of a
growing international presence, have required new and modern skills,
ranging from marketing to commercial, planning and control, audit, up to human
resources.
As part of our goals for improvement, this led us to switch from suggested
models to an approach to total quality based on suggestions by
employees. We have thus constructed a new model of leadership and corporate
relations, through a channel fed by climate surveys, which indicated actions
inspired by:
- guide towards change,
- mastery of content,
- accountability,
- achievement of results.
We intend to invest on the motivation to change and on mobility. We
therefore pay special attention to newly graduates. All participate in
fact at the Jet International, a program with basic knowledge ranging
from finance to business, technique and communication.
For graduates from foreign countries where Enel operates, especially
those of Eastern Europe, we plan a period of training and working in Italy.
With the aim to transfer acquired skills in their countries of origin.
We also maintain a very close relationship with universities. Some of
the skills sought are not contemplated by the current degree courses and
collaborating with universities (about 40) allows us to build from scratch some
highly specialized professional figures, through theses, stages, stages and
specific seminars.
