Francesco Venturini was appointed CEO and General Manager of Enel Green Power, the Enel Group’s renewable power generation subsidiary and a leading player in the global renewables industry, in May 2014.
He joined the Enel Group in 1997 as Head of Administration and Management Control at Enel S.p.A., helping to take the business public on the New York and Milan Stock Exchanges, before going on to become first the Distribution and Market Division’s Head of Internal Audit and then Head of Sales Administration within the same division. In 2009 he was appointed Head of Finance for Enel Green Power, after which he moved to Enel Green Power North America, first taking on the role of Head of Business Development before becoming Head of the North America Area in 2011.
Prior to joining the Enel Group Mr. Venturini served as Financial Controller for Elsag Bailey Process Automation, taking part in its listing on the New York Stock Exchange, later becoming CFO for several businesses belonging to the Elsag Bailey Process Automation and Hartmann Braun groups in both the United States and Brazil.
Born in New York in 1968, Mr. Venturini graduated cum laude in Economics from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1992 and was subsequently licenced as a Certified Public Accountant.
