Engineering and Innovation Division Managing Director

Born in 1949, he joined the Enel Group in 2008 as Managing Director of the Engineering and Innovation Division, which manages all the engineering and construction activities for thermal, nuclear and innovative power plants within the Enel Group. The Division also includes the Enel’s Research Area, whose task is to develop several R&D projects from carbon capture and storage to e-mobility.

Before joining the Enel Group, he had worked for leading engineering companies in several sectors – energy, petrochemical, transportation and maintenance – as Managing Director and CEO.

Livio Vido, who has a mechanical engineering background, was and still is a member of several board of directors of Italian companies.
