Gianluca Comin

Director of External Relations

Gianluca Comin, born in Udine in 1963, married, father of three children, holds a university degree, is a professional journalist and is Director of External Relations at Enel.

His career with Enel began in July 2002, initially as Communications Director and today as Head of External Relations, also in charge of National and International Institutional Affairs. Prior to joining Enel he held various positions in the communications area as Media Relations Manager for Telecom Italia and as External Relations Manager for Montedison.

His professional background includes serving as a spokesperson for the Minister and Head Press Officer of the Ministry of Public Works between 1997 and 1998. He was also an economic and parliamentary editor  at the “Il Gazzettino” newspaper for about ten years.

At present, he is in the Board of Directors of the Spanish company Endesa and Executive Director of Enel Cuore Onlus.

He is also a member of the Managing Board of the Civita association and of various public institutions, including the Communications Committee of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, the Advertising and Integrated Communications Tender Commission of the Ministry of Economics and Finance, the 2000 Jubilee Committee of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Advisory Committee of the CCISS (Centre for the coordination of information on traffic and road safety)

He currently participates in the Italian Industrialists federation (Confindustria), and has been a member of the Executive and Advisory Committee of Unionindustria and a Regional Counsellor of Confindustria Veneto.

He is responsible for the coordination of training programmes at the LUISS University and teaches institutional and financial communication at a university and post-university level.
