Luigi Ferraris is the Chief Financial Officer of Enel Spa.
On September 2010 he was also appointed Chairman of Enel Green Power.
Graduated in Economics, Luigi Ferraris joined Enel in 1999 as Chief Financial Officer of Eurogen, Elettrogen and Interpower, the three generation Companies dismissed by Enel as a consequence of the Italian electricity system liberalization. Afterwards he held the positions of Head of Planning, Control, Administration and Services of the "Infrastructure and Networks" and "Market" Divisions, Group Controller and Vice President of the Administration, Planning and Control Area.
Luigi Ferraris began his professional career in Price Waterhouse in 1988. Later he held several managerial positions in the Administration and Control Area, working for leading industrial companies such as Agusta, Piaggio VE and Sasib Beverage.
From 1996 to 1999 he held the position of Europe Area Controller of Elsag Bailey Process Automation, a company belonging to the Finmeccanica Group and listed in the NYSE.
Luigi Ferraris is also Chairman of Enel Servizi and Enel Factor SpA. Moreover, he is a Director of Endesa S.A., Enel OGK-5, Enel Distribuzione SpA, Enel Produzione SpA, Enel Ingegneria e Innovazione SpA and Enel Investment Holding BV.
Previously he has been a Director of WIND, Weather Investments, Avisio Energia SpA, Enel Viesgo Generación SL, Electra di Viesgo Distribución SL, Enel Energia SpA, Enel Energy Europe Srl, Enel Rete Gas SpA, Enel.si Srl, CISE, Sfera, Deval SpA, Enel Capital Srl, Enel Trade and member of the Supervisory Board of Slovenske Elektrarne a.s.
He is a professor at the Economics Department at the "Luiss Guido Carli" University.
Born in 1962, he is married with two children.
