Francesca Di Carlo
Audit Director
Born in Rome in 1963, she is married and has two children.
Graduated in Economics, she entered Enel in September 2006 as Head of
Corporate Strategy, before becoming Director of the Group Audit Department in
January 2008.
Her professional career began in 1987 at the UBS Group (SG Warburg Group),
where she worked - between London and Milan - until 1993, specializing in
corporate finance operations of Italian companies and international groups.
In 1994 she joined the Telecom Italia Group as head of Investor Relations
for Telecom Italia and Tim. In 1998 she became head of Financial Planning, and
the following year of Mergers & Acquisitions.
From 2001 to 2006 she was Head of Corporate Development and Mergers &
Acquisitions at Telecom Italia Group. The main projects she was in charge of,
include the completion of the group’s international portfolio disposal
programme,, the demerger and sale of Seat –PG through one of Europe’s largest
LBO, and the definition and implementation of Telecom Italia’s European
broadband activity.
As Chairman of Stream, she was responsible for completing the merger with
Tele +, becoming a Director of Sky Italy, as a representative of Telecom
Italia,.
As Chairman of Telespazio she took care of its sale to the Finmeccanica
Group.
In 2000 she won the M. Bellisario award, for Women and Finance.
