Born in 1964, Simone Mori gained a degree in Physics before earning an MBA.
Since May 2007 he has been Enel’s Director of Regulatory Regulation and Environmental Management, charged with responsibility for regulatory issues in Italy and abroad, as well as antitrust and environmental policies. He has also been Head of Carbon Strategy since 2011.
Previously he held different positions in Enel Holding, and was a board member at Viesgo Generacion, Viesgo Distribucion and Viesgo Energia, Enel Group companies operating on the Spanish market.
He is Vice President of Italian electricity utility association Assoelettrica, Chairman of business association Assolombarda’s Energy Commodity Group, President of the Industrial Union of Rome’s Energy section, member of Italian employer’s association Confindustria’s Energy Commission and is on the CESI Board of Directors.
His also teaches at the The Sapienza University of Rome’s Faculty of Engineering.
