Albania
Enel has been operating since 1995 in Albania, where it has investment
objectives. To date, Enel is developing a project called 'Energy
Complex', to build a next-generation power plant equipped with clean coal
technologies in the Porto Romano area. With 800 MW of installed capacity, this
plant will ensure a base-load source of electricity, which can meet the energy
needs of the Albanian population and industries.
This project also includes a 400 Kv Overhead Power Line connecting
the plant to the National Grid at Tirana 2 Power Station. Moreover Linea
Albania Italia Shpk is planning to build a 210 km long 500 kV Undersea Power
Line that will be 210 km long and will connect the new power plant to the
Italian grid.
