At the beginning of 2009, Endesa acquired 20% of the Irish ESB
(Electricity Supply Board) public utility.
The plants that are already operational have an installed capacity of 1,098 MW,
while two more 300 MW sites are scheduled for development.
The Group's presence in Ireland accounts for about 16% of the country's total
capacity.
