Endesa is present in Ireland as of January 2009 with Endesa Ireland, which owns a total of 1,068 MW distributed in four sites: Tarbert, with fueloil, and a total installed capacity of 620 MW; Great Island, with fueloil and a capacity of 240 MW; Tawnaghmore and Rhode, with gasoil turbines, each with a unitary capacity of 104 MW. These power plants account for about 16 percent of the country’s total capacity.
