Research Centres

Enel's research structure is formed by a network of centres, laboratories and experimental stations at the highest level, which play an important role in the national technological development. It has gained historical experience in the electricity sector following over thirty years of activity.
Pisa

Pisa
This centre coordinates all research activities and is at the forefront in the development of combustion technologies, pollutant emission reduction, diagnostics and automation, as well as innovative generation and conversion systems.

Brindisi
It focuses on the assessment of soil, subsoil and groundwater conditions, as well as site decontamination and redevelopment, plant environment and landscape integration. It also works on the exploitation and reuse of waste produced in energy generation and on the efficient exploitation of territorial energy resources.

Catania
It is engaged in very significant projects aimed at energy saving and the development of solar and photovoltaic innovation.

Experimental Areas
They support the Research Centres, like the laboratories.,. They are located in Livorno, in Sesta (Tuscany), and Marghera (Venice).
