G4V is a project involving all major DSOs (Distribution System Operators) in Europe, including Enel, with the cooperation of some of the most prestigious European universities to study electric vehicle charging infrastructures, the impact of electric mobility and create the necessary alliances for its diffusion in Europe.
The project was co-funded by the EU Seventh Framework Programme to identify the most functional solutions based on the specific needs emerging from each national context. Moreover, G4V focuses on balancing services, integration of energy generated from renewable energy sources into the grid and the creation of new business opportunities, especially for SMEs.
Thanks to the experience of its partners, Grid for Vehicles (G4V) promotes the best solutions for electric mobility to enable new functionalities that will allow a full exploitation of the electricity distribution grid, in line with the European environmental targets to be reached by 2020.
