Enel is awarded a prize for online creativity
The Italian Art Directors Club awards a prize to the Future will follow
website, which illustrates Enel’s commitment to the environment. The slogan
“Embrace change, the future will follow” regards projects that include smart
grids and nuclear energy

It’s the Italian Oscar for advertising and communication, and this year Enel
was among the winners. Indeed, one of the prizes awarded in 2010 by the Italian
Art Directors Club (Adci) was bestowed to The future
will follow website, which won the bronze prize in the corporate
website category.
Established in 1985, Adci unites Italian professionals in the field of
creative communication. Its aim is to promote and improve quality standards in
an industry that is becoming increasingly important for corporate,
institutional and public communication, both in Italy and abroad.
Each year the club selects the highest achievements in communication over
the previous 12 months and grants them the Adci Awards.
Juries examine works that have been published and the best, most innovative
ideas win. The works are judged according to three key principles: relevance,
originality and impact.
With The future will follow website, Enel renewed its commitment to
the environment by showcasing the most up to date innovations in the field.
“Embrace change, the future will follow” is the slogan of the website. Enel has
in fact sent an invitation and a message of hope through the , campaign it
launched during Copenhagen Climate Conference, held in December 2009.
Enel’s advertising campaign, created during the UN meeting, focused on
several significant topics: Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), smart grids,
thermodynamic solar energy, electric mobility and nuclear power.
The future will follow website is specifically dedicated to these key
topics, witnessing Enel’s commitment and its projects in these fields.
The site opens a window onto the future. Starting from the home page, users can
navigate virtual spaces where, thanks to the efficient animation, they can get
acquainted with innovations in the energy sector that are already available, as
well as those that will be completed in the near future.
Enel also invites users to follow the Twitter Timeline of comments
and discussions that take place in the Network regarding each topic: news and
opinions, written in 140 characters, on new environmentally-friendly
technologies.
