In 2008 alone, the initiative has involved over 440.000 students of 7.000
schools in Italy, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Chile, Guatemala and Costa
Rica. More than 100.000 children participated in the contest, showing
knowledge of energy and science and skills to design more sustainable cities
and neighbourhoods.
PlayEnergy freely supplies the schools with materials and many initiatives
for a unique journey in which to embark with the careful eye of a scientist,
but also with the spirit of the game. Students and teachers can thus take
advantage of on and off-line lessons, experiments on science and
energy, curiosities from the world and many activities to develop in the
classroom.
Furthermore, everyone is given the opportunity to share discoveries and
ideas in the international community that lives on this very site.
The initiative has also received the patronage of Ján Figel, of the
European Commission for Education, Training, Culture and Youth.
