This systematic and broad approach has been a key success factor, contributing to the Company’s penetration of new markets, accompanying its international expansion, and facilitating the legitimization of and creation of consent with regard to the company’s projects and operations.

Enel’s widespread international presence has prompted a new organization and a team effort to harmonize procedures for comparison and instances coming from different stakeholders:

The Major Infrastructural Projects Unit develops and carries out major Enel strategic projects, in a mega community logic.

The International Affairs Unit is concerned with presenting the interests and positions of Enel to national and institutional bodies. It is also prepared to coordinate and manage the consensus of the community towards the company’s projects and businesses.

The External Relations Unit with the Territory and Confindustria works with local institutions to determine consensus and assure success of strategic projects.

The CSR and Relationswith Associations Unit systematically consults with the associations representing segments such as consumers, environmentalists, small and medium enterprises, local authorities, to prevent any critical issues and initiate shared projects with the Associations.
