Enel for its Employees
Made up of 23 countries and about 81,000 employees, more than half of which are citizens of foreign countries., the diverse origins, cultures, and backgrounds of the Enel world are a precious asset that should be valued, as well as integrated.
This integration has been promoted through programs aimed at raising awareness within the corporate population, but has also been stimulated by distributing and sharing of tools to help professional families exchange information, creating an internal network that facilitates remote dialogue between the greatest possible number of people.
The Personnel and Organization Department performs the crucial role of aligning the values and cultures of the Enel people. The Department must establish and implement policies aimed at the construction of a work environment that is intent on results, but also attentive to the involvement of people and the quality of the relationship that individuals and different professional groups have with the Company.
This means developing a new way of doing and thinking to help people feel less and less like “employees” and more and more like “citizens” of Enel, able to combine their prospects and expectations with the growth of the Company, within a framework of overall sustainability.
With the introduction of a new Code of Ethics, Enel has further established its identity and its employees’ sense of belonging, while paying special attention to integrity and responsibility.
Furthermore, the Zenith program has been introduced in order to improve operational efficiency, regarding both production and services. To meet this challenge, Enel consulted the expertise ,success and the growth experiences accrued to date, involving the entire staff on the initiative of individual divisions.
