Children

• Support of 54 projects for the benefit of children of which 41 in Italy and 13 abroad. The total funding was 7,808,564 Euros, which constitutes about 1/3 of the total budget of Enel Cuore Onlus
• ofamong the 54 programs for the benefit of children, 20 concern housing (18 in Italy and 2 in Eastern Europe), that is, building and refurbishing hospitals and centres that welcome children who are ailing or in distress. 3,220,800 Euros were allocated for housing.
• among the 54 programs for the benefit of children, 22 regard assistance for their hospitalization: materials, equipment and spaces for children and facilities where families may feel at home. For the latter, 4,318,428 Euros were allocated to support 16 projects in Italy (for a total of 3,385,700 Euros) and 6 in Eastern Europe (for a total of 932,728 Euros)
• Key initiatives for children: Department of Diabetics of the Paediatric Hospital Bambino Gesù of Rome - "Casa dei Bambini Enel Cuore" in the new Meyer Paediatric Hospital of Florence - Nuova Casa Oz in Turin for the assistance of hospitalized children and their families - Reception center for disabled children in Tavernerio (Como) - Restructuring of Paediatric Hospital Marie Curie in Bucharest.
