Socially Responsible Investors

Enel’s engagement in the issues connected with corporate responsibility is reflected in its shareholder base, where 64 ethical funds hold 19% of the shares owned by institutional investment funds (data as of June 2011). These are socially responsible investment (SRI) funds, which invest only in companies that act in a sustainable way. In order to have a stable and reliable shareholder base, Enel sets long-term objectives to attract socially responsible shareholders.
