The Regulations, Environment andCarbon Strategy, which includes the Environmental Policy and Climate Change unit, coordinates the environmental management of the Group’s departments, ensuring compliance to programmes and projects.
Its mission includes the definition of Enel’s environmental policies and strategic goals. It also is in charge of:
- Defining and supporting corporate position on environmental regulations, incentives for renewable sources, the Emission Trading Scheme and energy efficiency;
- organizing environmental reporting, by identifying indicators and ensuring the monitoring and control of the environmental performance of all the Group’s activities;
- drawing up the Group's Environmental Report;
- providing support to the divisions in Italy and abroad, also for M&A operations related to pertinent activities.
