According to  Enel CEO, Fulvio Conti: sustainability and social responsibility, together with transparency, innovation, loyalty, safety for workforce and development of renewable energies are some of the main commitments of the Group mission.

Sustainability is part of Enel’s culture: it is the engine that moves a process of continuous improvement and it represents an important element to pursue a mission of growth and development.
To generate and distribute value in the international market of energy, Enel works with communities on respecting the environment and people’s safety, and focusing on the development of renewable energies. All this to assure a better future for coming generations.
Enel’s Ethics and Principles, which are described in the Code of Ethics, represent the fulcrum of the Group’s culture and the standard of behavior requested to its workforce.
Enel has published its Sustainability Report, every year since 2002, working at maintaining a good relationship with all the stakeholders: shareholders, funding bodies, staff members, customers, suppliers, communities, institutions and future generations.
For the sixth year in a row, Enel has been admitted to the prestigious Dow JonesSTOXX Sustainability Index (DJSI STOXX) and the selective Dow JonesSustainability World Index, which considers the 10% of the 2500 biggest companies in the word.
