Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes

In 2011, for the eigth year in a row, Enel is admitted to the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Index and the selective Dow Jones World. In particular, the latter includes just 342 of the 2,500 major companies in the world which are top as regards sustainability

FTSE4Good

In March 2011, the Enel Group was also admitted to the prestigious FTSE4Good index and in March 2012 Semi-Annual Review there was the re-confirmation, with the 4/5 ESG Absolute Score.

Created by the FTSE Global Index Company, the FTSE4Good Index Series has been designed to promote investment in companies that meet globally recognised corporate responsibility standards. The companies admitted to the FTSE4Good index have met stringent social and environmental requirements and have been considered capable of capitalizing benefits originating from a company’s responsible behaviour.

Carbon Disclosure Project

In September 2011, Enel has been admitted to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)’s ranking of the world’s most sustainable companies, the Carbon Performance Leadership Index. The Carbon Performance Leadership Index (CPLI) includes 29 companies listed on the FTSE Global Equity Index Series (Global 500) that, like Enel, have shown the highest commitment in terms of strategy, governance, communication to stakeholders and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
