Stakeholder engagement
Stakeholder engagement, or inclusiveness, was one of the fundamental elements in the definition of Enel’s Sustainability Plan. For some time the Group has been using a number of instruments and initiatives to collect and analyze the requests of stakeholders in order to integrate them with its strategic choices. This has led to the definition of material macro areas of engagement for every stakeholder category.
Enel’s core business determines the identification of its stakeholders and their interests. Taking this into account, the kind of initiatives the Company promotes are the result of proactive attention to their requests by the corporate units in charge of handling relations with specific stakeholders, in order to engage the latter and overcome prejudices and misinformation.
Shareholders, funding bodies, staff members, customers, suppliers, communities, institutions, associations for the defense of nature, future generations are the fulcrum of Enel’s activities.
