Research at Enel
Enel has a long history in power generation research and development, with it’s internationally recognised research covering a leading role in Italy for more than thirty years.
Research activities at Enel Research Centres are highly experimental. New technologies, processes and systems are first studied in the laboratory and then tested in experimental prototype installations, before being implemented on an industrial scale at operational plants. All of this activity is supported by specific mathematical modelling.
The most significant activities consist in reducing greenhouse gasses and pollution, exploiting wastes, optimizing diagnostics and processes and using renewable energy sources and new energetic carriers.
