Training in Enel

In recent years, Enel has been turning into a market-driven multinational.  To support this important change, Enel has started-up a dedicated learning structure, within Enel University.

Enel University provides all of the company’s employees with training courses tailored to their seniority, role, profile and business needs. This allows the company to guarantee the maintenance and development of core technical, professional and managerial competencies as well as the development of tomorrow’s leaders.

Enel's training arrangements, which reflect the Company's organisational model, fall under the following headings:

  • Professional Development, the chief purpose of which is to develop the technical and professional skills typical of an area or professional family;
  • Personal Development, which is aimed at increasing the organisational capacities and behavioural skills required for different roles;
  • Managerial Development, which is intended for a cross-section of company employees (i.e., not based on membership in any professional family). The activities in this area aim to develop integration capacities and a global business vision.

Every year, the Divisions, the Departments and Enel University jointly develop a “Training Plan”, which is put into effect by drawing on the skills available in-house as well as by using leading-edge suppliers.

Moreover, Enel University has a particular focus on young employees, for whom it designs and implements  Professional Induction Paths for new hires. Job rotations, cross-division and Division-specific trainings, assessments and mentorship programs are planned in advance to allow for a quick and effective introduction of new hires into the Group.
