Enrico Panai is an Artificial Intelligence ethicist and president of the Association of AI Ethicists. He teaches at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. He has a degree in philosophy and a Ph.D. in AI Ethics and Cybergeography from the University of Sassari, where he taught Digital Humanities for six years. He is involved in standardization work at AFNOR, ISO/IEC, and CEN-CENELEC JTC21 in support of the European Union's AI Act. Panai has published numerous articles on AI ethics and inclusion. He translated Luciano Floridi's The Ethics of Artificial Intelligence into French and is the author of Skip! L'arte di evitare i progetti (the art of avoiding projects, EDES, 2020) and L'etica dell'intelligenza artificiale spiegata a mio figlio (Artificial Intelligence ethics explained to my son, Mimesis, 2024).
