He is the leader of Enel’s AI Ethical Working Group, and he works within the Compliance structure of the Legal Department to help guide the governance of technological innovation. His mandate is to define principles of transparency, fairness, and accountability for the development and use of Artificial Intelligence systems within the Group. A law graduate, he began his career in journalism, then went on to become editor-in-chief of Sicilia on Line News (1995), one of Italy's first online newspapers. He joined Enel in 1996 and served as Security Manager from 2000 to 2012 in various Group companies, with responsibility for data protection and critical business infrastructure. His work currently focuses on defining the ethical and regulatory framework for the adoption of AI, integrating legal and technological security expertise.
