RES4MED Promoting Green Energy Study

The advanced training course Integration of Renewable Energy Solutions in the Mediterranean Electricity Markets, which is promoted by the Enel Foundation and RES4MED, will be held at the Polytechnic University of Milan between 17-28November.

The course aims to provide the right technical, economic and regulatory tools that will help achieve the integration of renewable energy sources into the electricity market, while also encouraging the creation of an International network of experts.

The initiative is aimed principally at those with between three to six years of professional experience working in public bodies, energy businesses, energy centres, universities and research agencies that operate in the countries of the Mediterranean Basin.

The course consists of lectures from international experts and visits to cutting-edge research laboratories and power plants. The course aims to encourage interaction between participants through their involvement in study groups.

Fifteen scholarships will be assigned to experts from southern and eastern Mediterranean nations. Applications must be submitted by 7September 2014 and the organisers will contact the selected candidates by 26 September 2014, while those picked will have to confirm their taking part in the course by 3 October 2014.

Res4Med, or Renewable Energy Solutions for the Mediterranean, was created by Enel Green Power together with Edison, CESI, GSE, PwC and the Polytechnic University of Milan and has the aim of bringing together the technical, economic and research skills available worldwide by with similar skills already being used in several Mediterranean Basin nations.
