For the fourth year running Enel has been named one of Italy's Top Employers. The reward was handed out on 18 February in Milan, and was given to Enel as recognition of working conditions, training and development policy and management strategy, showing how Enel is a leader in HR and committed to continuous improvement in policy and best practices.
In order to obtain certification each business must have at least 250 employees if working only in Italy, or be part of a multinational group that employs at least 2,500 people around the world. Each business involved completed the Top Employers HR Best Practice Survey.
The minimum points total possible for certification is 60 percent. External auditor Grant Thornton assesses all processes, procedures, assessment systems, as well as the responses to the questionnaire by each participant. The audit gives maximum integrity to the results.
A sample of 35% of participating companies were subjected to the auditing process, in which the businesses with the highest points total, those with the lowest and a random selection of businesses. Based on agreed procedures, Grant Thornton finds that those procedures respect the research process and that the final statistics and their ratings are derived exclusively from the replies to the Top Employers questionnaire conducted during 2013.
This year 52 businesses obtained the Top Employers Italy 2014 Certification.
