The fifth edition of Innoprom, the major industrial exhibition in Russia, was held in Yekaterinburg from July 9 to 12 and was attended by more than 500 business operating in a whole range of industries, including energy, oil and gas, building, nanotechnologies, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals and automation. This year's edition focused on intellectual and material technologies, as well as innovations that promote growth, efficiency and competitiveness.
Among the international players present at the event was Enel, which has attended every edition. On this occasion Enel OGK-5 also signed two cooperation agreements with the cities of Sredneuralsk and Reftinskiy that regarded strategic issues for the Group: protection of the environment, energy efficiency and support of projects that promote education, culture, health and sport.
"The cooperation agreements that we have signed are a further step forward in the partnership with Russia and strengthen our commitment to social responsibility," said Enel OGK-5's Director General Enrico Viale.
As one of the exhibitors, the Enel Group showcased the innovations and techniques used to increase the reliability and efficiency of its coal plants. Enel exhibited models of its Reftinskaya plant, the dry ash removal system (DARS), the Enelicopter drone system that inspects plant sites and an augmented reality application that supports maintenance activities.
