Enel University won the Corporate Learning Innovation through Technology award at the prestigious World Corporate Universities Congress & Awards, an annual event held in Mumbai that looks at the latest trends in training. This prize was given to Enel for its efforts in the field since the establishment of Enel University in 2009.

'This prize is an appreciated one for Enel's Corporate University, 'said Enel's Head of Global Training Davide Del Vecchio in an interview with Enel Radio. 'It's an international award handed out in the presence of institutional, corporate and academic representatives from all over the world. It's an acknowledgement of both our business and technological innovation in the field of training.'

'Mumbai also allowed us to do benchmarking and to review the new trends in training, in institutional, academic and corporate terms.'

One of these trends is e-learning, online training, a field in which Enel has a long history.

'E-learning is undergoing a period of rapid change, thanks to the spread of interactive and virtual e-learning, virtual courses that are supported by a technological and methodological advance that has led to a change in content and training that is adapted to location and time requirements,' Del Vecchio added.

Enel is taking part in these changes, and in September it will complete a two-year process of implementation of its Group-wide online training system. The system will become increasingly user-friendly and intuitive and develop mobile e-learning.
