We are Energy has won an award at the annual Grand Prix of the Federation of European Internal Communicators Associations (FEIEA), an organisation that promotes the sharing of best practices and awards the best corporate internal communications initiatives. This is an important award for a project that for 10 years has been involving colleagues' children in an international competition that links in with some of the business' most important issues.
Enel's head of Internal Communications Maria Cristina Milano took part in the award ceremony, which took place in London yesterday 13 November. 'I accept this award with great joy thinking about the value that We Are Energy has gained around the world over the years,' she said. 'I and the whole internal communications team dedicate it to the thousands of Enel youngsters who sign up for the project, and their parents – as well as our colleagues – who have made this success possible.'
Being named third best social communications project was HOME@HOME, the international home exchange and hosting Enel's project that straddles a tourism phenomenon by making the most of the strengths and dimensions of the Group: a broad geographical reach, a huge network of colleagues and the presence of different cultures, languages and traditions. 'With HOME@HOME we wanted to offer the possibility of further broadening our horizons, bring ourselves closer to different cultures, and get to know new people and colleagues,' said head of People Care Iliana Totaro.
