A new Enel Innovation Hub kicks off in Moscow and will be inaugurated on 17 October on the occasion of the Open Innovations Forum 2017 at the Skolkovo Innovation Center.

Francesco Starace, Enel’s CEO and General Manager, with Ernesto Ciorra, Enel’s Head of Innovation and Sustainability, will cut the ribbon of the new innovation and startup accelerator centre in Russia. It is another important step in our Group’s Open Innovation strategy at a global level.

Important partnership deals will be signed with the Skolkovo Foundation, the Skolkovo Business School and the Internet Initiatives Fund before the inauguration. Some of Russia’s main startups will also attend the event and tell about their approach to innovation.

In Moscow, we will play a starring role at the Open Innovations Forum (16-18 October). Now in its sixth edition, it will discuss the digital economy and the challenges of the global change. Francesco Starace will also attend the plenary session on 16 October, as will Russian Prime Minister Dmitrij Medvedev. The subject will be the Russian energy sector and the strategic development and support to renewables after 2024. A bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Medvedev is also scheduled.

On 16 October, Ernesto Ciorra will attend two panels on the role of the Chief Transformation Officer and on smart energy, and the next day, Roberto Deambrogio, Head of Europe and North Africa at Enel, will participate in a panel on renewable energy in Russia.
