The guest of honour at the next #EnelFocusOn is the father of Open Innovation, economist Henry Chesbrough. On 14 May, the event will be streamed live from San Francisco, where the series of itinerant talks about the future was previously held in March 2017, only a few hours after the inauguration of the Enel Innovation Hub, in the heart of Silicon Valley.
The theme is “Open Innovability for a better world” and event participants include Ernesto Ciorra, Enel Chief Innovability Officer, and Craig Jones, Executive Chairman of InnoCentive, global leader in crowdsourcing.
The international influencers who are attending the event will be asked to reflect upon the connection between innovation and sustainability, two inseparable keystones of Enel’s vision, and their relationship with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the lodestar for sustainable projects globally.
Henry Chesbrough, Director of the Garwood Center for Corporate Innovation at University of California, Berkeley, is famous for his 2003 bestseller “Open Innovation: The New Imperative for Creating and Profiting from Technology”, a concept that has gained traction ever since and which, fifteen years on, is still very relevant.
The San Francisco meeting marks the 9th #EnelFocusOn; other meetings have been held in Goiânia, London, Madrid, New York, Rome (twice) and Santiago de Chile.
