Shared value to tackle climate change: #EnelFocusOn in New York

Published on Monday, 17 September 2018

How can modern companies, and in particular those involved in the energy sector, create shared value to tackle climate change? This is the subject Enel has chosen for the new #EnelFocusOn due to take place in New York and set to be streamed live from the Enel Investor Relations Office on 25 September at 9 am local time.

The event’s keynote speaker will be Mark Kramer, Co-Founder and Managing Director of FSG (Foundation Strategy Group). Kramer is a world authority on the creation of shared value and is regarded as a global ambassador for a sustainable business model. His ideas are revolutionising large global companies and their way of thinking and doing business.

Proceedings will be introduced by Antonio Cammisecra, Head of Global Renewable Energies and CEO of Enel Green Power. A select panel of influencers from around the world will also be taking part. The aim of the event is to take a fresh look at the concept of creating shared value, particularly in the context of the energy industry, and to outline the links between economic, social and environmental progress.

The meeting is being held whilst Climate Week is taking place in New York from 24 to 30 September, the opening ceremony of which will be attended by Enel CEO Francesco Starace.

This will be the eleventh #EnelFocusOn, the second to be held in New York and the fifth in the USA after the events in San Francisco and Boston. The others were held in Rome, London, Madrid, Santiago de Chile and Goiânia.
