Rome, November 24th, 2022 – Another step towards the electrification of mobility in Italy: Enel X Way has constructed a charging network at the Mediaset headquarters in Cologno Monzese, accompanying the company in the process of evolving its fleet towards electric power. The 210 charging points installed by Enel electric mobility company Enel X Way will each supply a parking space at the Mediaset headquarters with a technology mix comprising JuiceBoxes, domestic charging facilities of 22 kW, and JuicePumps, rapid charging stations with power of up to 60 kW.
“To reduce the environmental impact of transport we have to involve everyone, starting from Italy’s large corporations, supporting them in the transition to electric mobility,” said Federico Caleno, Enel X Way’s Head of Country for Italy. “Our collaboration with Mediaset is fully in line with this strategy because, thanks to our state-of-the-art electric vehicle charging solutions, we enable a major partner to speed up the electrification of its fleet, reinforcing our commitment to the growth of sustainable mobility nationwide.”
When creating this charging hub, Enel X Way activated the Load Optimization system, a software solution enabling intelligent management of the charges delivered by such a large number of charging points, avoiding network overloads. The infrastructure was planned and constructed with a view to enabling trouble-free, rapid expansion of the charging area in the future.
