Rome, march 28, 2003 - Enel welcomes its agreement with the Veneto regional authority, announced today by regional president Giancarlo Galan, which paves the way for the reconversion of the power plant at Porto Tolle (Rovigo), one of the most important in Italy, and averts the risk of blackouts for a vital part of the country.
The date agreed to for the plants closure, the year 2018, leaves sufficient time to find alternative solutions. Enels substantial investment in plant renewal, employing up-to-date technologies, will reduce emissions significantly. The effect on the environment is positive and the project is good for employment too, increasing jobs for the entire conversion period.
The use of safe and convenient fuels will lower electricity production costs in Italy, which today are among the highest in Europe, with a positive effect on family savings and company savings too, especially small and mid-sized ones; fundamental for the economy of the North-East and the whole country.
For the dissemination to the public and the storage of regulated information made available to the public, Enel S.p.A. has decided to use respectively the platforms “eMarket SDIR” and “eMarket Storage”, both available at the address www.emarketstorage.com and managed by Teleborsa S.r.l. - with registered office in Rome, at 4 Piazza Priscilla - as per CONSOB authorization and resolutions n. 22517 and 22518 of November 23, 2022.
From May 19th 2014 to June 30th 2015, Enel S.p.A. used the authorized mechanism for the storage of regulated information denominated “1Info”, available at the address www.1info.it, managed by Computershare S.p.A. with registered office in Milan and authorized by Consob with resolution No. 18852 of April 9th, 2014.
