Francesco Bertoli was appointed Director of Enel Grids and Innovation in April 2026. Since April 2024, he has also held the position of Country Manager for Colombia and Central America.
He joined the Enel Group in 2004, holding positions of increasing responsibility in the Generation and Energy Management Division, ultimately becoming Head of Planning and Performance Control for Wind, Hydroelectric, and Thermoelectric Generation in Italy in 2008 and, subsequently, Head of CCGTs and Oil-Gas Business Units in Italy and Belgium in 2014.
After serving as Global Head of Human Resources and Organization for Thermoelectric Generation, in 2017 he moved to the Grids Division, where he held the roles of Head of Network Development and Head of Construction and O&M for all the Group's countries in Europe and South America.
He graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Brescia and completed his studies in Business Administration with an Executive MBA from Luiss University in Rome and by participating in executive training programs at Harvard Business School in Boston.
