For this reason, we speak about Open Innovation. This opens up to the outside world, to industrial partners, universities, research centers, startups and, last but not least, to colleagues and customers.
The outcome is a desirable ecosystem where cross-contamination is encouraged and allows us to work closer together – to devise innovative solutions that meet society’s changing needs.
These hubs are not merely observation points, but active collectors and incubators of problem-solving ideas. They allow us to pinpoint and accelerate innovation in the places and communities where they are taking place.
We use this approach to give all of our stakeholders a voice, both within and outside the company. This is why the Open Innovability crowdsourcing platform allows anyone to propose sustainable innovation projects – or solutions – to the challenges we need to tackle.

Racing for e-Mobility
By powering both ABB FIA Formula E and FIM Enel MotoE motorsport events, Enel is able to develop the technologies that are now revolutionizing e-mobility across the world.
The competition for young adults between the ages of 14 and 20 promoted by Enel in order to stimulate creativity and scientific thinking. The winners will get to go to the Campus Party.
