- From 2003 to 2005 he was general manager of RAI - Italian Radio and Television broadcasting.
- From 1999 to 2003 he was chair and CEO of Fiera Milano, providing inter alia to lead its listing process on the Italian Stock Exchange.

- He holds a degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic of Milan and attended a post-graduate RE Finance Programme at SDA Bocconi School of Management.
