What is the carbon footprint and how is it calculated?

Leaving a mark on the world of the future is a desire shared by virtually every human being. But there is at least one case in which the best thing we can do for the next generation is to make sure that our impact as is as imperceivable as possible, to the point of disappearing. This is certainly the case with our carbon footprint.
