Twenergy, the compass of efficiency


Over three million users, 90,000 followers on the most important social networks and 300,000 visitors per month. It's not surprising that Twenergy, Endesa's online community dedicated to Energy efficiency, is considered the most important energy network on social media, according to a study by Epsiln (a company with over 20 years of experience in digital marketing).

Twenergy was created in 2009 to promote energy efficiency, the first portal of its kind on social networks. Twenergy has since then published updated information on efficiency, sustainability, renewables and the environment. It quickly became an important reference point in the sector for web users, with a 114 percent increase in followers every year.

In 2014, Twenergy's content received more than 7,500 shares and retweets on Facebook and Twitter, with energy saving related content considered the most interesting. The portal boasts the collaboration of efficiency experts from around the world, offering users advice and answering their questions on a daily basis. One of the latest initiatives to be launched is the ecommerce channel, which will give users the opportunity to purchase energy efficient products and services and electric bicycles for urban environments.

Endesa's online community also has a network of correspondents who report on the latest trends in efficiency from the United States, Denmark and Scandinavian Countries, China, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Costa Rica.

In addition to Twenergy, Endesa launched infoEnergía in Spain, an online service where the Group's clients andamento can find indicators on bills, consumption trends and graphs to compare energy use during different months of the year.

Enel's clients can also use online services to stay updated on their consumption trends in Chile with Conoce tu boleta, Chilectra's online guide with information on all of the bill's items and details. Other Enel Group companies, such as Ampla and Coelce in Brazil, Edesur in Argentina and Codensa in Colombia, offer digital channels with downloadable applications to increase the responsible management of energy consumption and supplies.

In Italy, Enel Energia's online solutions for customers on the Italian free market have also expanded, with ad hoc tools for smartphones that allow customers to manage their electricity and gas consumption through smartphones and tablets.
