The national grid operator - Gestore della Rete di Trasmissione Nazionale (GRTN) has informed Enel that "recent malfunctions at some thermoelectric plants have occured in the last few hours, adding to already signalled uncertainties about the availability of water from the Po river. Should the malfunctions persist, along with unfavorable conditions for critical plants on the Po, and should demand remain sustained, for Thursday July 10, there may be the conditions for the implementation power interruptions on a rotating basis".The GRTN specifies that distributors will be informed as soon as plans for the re-activation of the malfunctioning plants are known.
Enel will provide timely information as soon as the decisions of the GRTN are known.
