ENEL GREEN POWER FINALIZES ACQUISITION OF 10 MW OF WIND IN FRANCE FROM GAMESA

Enel Green Power increased its wind portfolio with 10 MW La Bouleste Windfarm, developed by Gamesa and located in Aveyron, Midi-Pyrenees Area.
The new wind farm ups Enel Green Power’s total installed capacity in France to 102 MW.

Rome - Lyon, November 29th, 2010 – Today Enel Green Power has finalized the acquisition of  La Bouleste wind farm from Gamesa thus increasing its total installed capacity in France with additional 10MW. This wind farm operates with Gamesa G87 turbines, of 2MW each, and is located in the Aveyron department, in the Midi-Pyrenees Region.

La Bouleste wind farm will produce over 20 million kWh per year, enough to meet the power needs of more than 6,000 households with clean energy and will cut down greenhouse-gas emissions for more than 10,000 tonnes each year.
 
This new project further confirms Enel Green Power’s strategy to grow on the French renewable market. Currently Enel Green Power has a total installed capacity of 102 MW with additional 64 MW wind projects under construction which will enter into operation next year. Enel Green Power can also count on additional development opportunities from a project pipeline in hydro, solar and wind of more than 1,000 MW.
