The new wind farm ups Enel Green Powers total installed capacity in France to 102 MW.
Rome - Lyon, November 29th, 2010 Today Enel Green Power has finalized the acquisition of La Bouleste wind farm from Gamesa thus increasing its total installed capacity in France with additional 10MW. This wind farm operates with Gamesa G87 turbines, of 2MW each, and is located in the Aveyron department, in the Midi-Pyrenees Region.
La Bouleste wind farm will produce over 20 million kWh per year, enough to meet the power needs of more than 6,000 households with clean energy and will cut down greenhouse-gas emissions for more than 10,000 tonnes each year.
This new project further confirms Enel Green Powers strategy to grow on the French renewable market. Currently Enel Green Power has a total installed capacity of 102 MW with additional 64 MW wind projects under construction which will enter into operation next year. Enel Green Power can also count on additional development opportunities from a project pipeline in hydro, solar and wind of more than 1,000 MW.
