ENEL GREEN POWER: NEW PHOTOVOLTAIC PLANT IN VENETO ENTERS INTO SERVICE

New plant in Canaro (Rovigo) with installed capacity of 6 MW will generate over 7 million kWh per year.

Rome, September 1st, 2011 – Enel Green Power’s new photovoltaic plant in Canaro, in the province of Rovigo has entered into service.

With an installed capacity of 6 MW, the plant, once fully up and running, will generate over 7 million kWh of electricity per year, enough to meet the annual consumption needs of more than 2,600 households and avoid the emission of almost 5,000 metric tons of CO2, as well as save more than 82,000 TOE (tonnes of oil equivalent) in fossil fuels per year.
