Rome/Santiago del Chile, December 2nd, 2019 - Enel Américas was recognized as the leader in the best company category by the Agenda de Líderes Sustentables 2020 (ALAS2020, Sustainable Leaders Agenda), an initiative aimed at acknowledging companies and institutions that have demonstrated leadership in Sustainability and Responsible Investments in countries such as Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.

The decision was announced today following an evaluation process that named Enel Américas the best company in Chile for its combined performance in terms of Sustainability, Corporate Governance and Investor Relations.

We are proud to receive this award because it is important that the market recognizes that sustainability is an integral part of our business. For Enel Américas, sustainability means, among other things, creating value for our shareholders and all our stakeholders," said Maurizio Bezzeccheri, General Manager of Enel Américas and Head of Latin America for the Enel Group.

The ALAS20 ranking is the most important to which a company can aspire at a national level in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, since it is awarded only to one company per country. The winning company is selected according to the score obtained in a technical evaluation process carried out by Vigeo Eiris. Only those who are in first, second or third place in the following categories can access this recognition: Leading Company in Sustainability, Leading Company in Corporate Governance and Leading Company in Investor Relations.

ALAS20 is an agenda that seeks to promote sustainable development in Latin America from business management and investment decisions, as an effective way to achieve a more sustainable, fair and inclusive world.
