The Enel Group in Argentina and Brazil

During his trip in Argentina and Brazil, Enel's Head of Global Infrastructure and Networks Livio Gallo met the top management of Enel subsidiaries Edesur Group, Endesa Brasil, Ampla and Coelce. He held discussions on opportunities within Business Line, in particular regarding technology, in view of the Group's new strategy and global organisation.

Edesur is the largest electricity distributer in Argentina with 2.5 million customers and 3,600 employees. Head of Infrastructure and Networks Argentina Antonio Jerez and Country Manager Argentina Fabrizio Allegra discussed with Gallo the state of current activities and the prospects for future development.

The meetings took place in the Ampla Auditorium and was transmitted via videoconferencing to the 22 Ampla and Coelce Distribution offices in Brazil. Chairman of Endesa Brasil's Board of Directors Mário Santos and Country Manager of Endesa Brasil Marcelo Llévenes welcomed Gallo before providing an outline of the Brazilian market. Abel Rochinha, Head of Distribution Brazil, then spoke about the central role of Enel Group in the country, where it already serves more than six million customers.

Livio Gallo presented the Group's new global organisation structure, expressing his pride in working for a business of Enel's profile: 'We are a team, we have established a highly professional relationship and we can count on valuable people. I'm certain that we will obtain our goal of satisfying our customers.'

Global Business Lines are responsible for the management and development of Group assets, optimising their performance and their return on capital, as well as improving operational efficiency and sharing best practices globally. Besides Global Infrastructure and Networks headed by Livio Gallo, other Business Lines will be assigned to Enrico Viale (Global Generations), Claudio Machetti (Global Trading), Marco Arcelli (Upstream Gas) e Francesco Venturini (Renewable Energy).
