Sustainability for our people: Enel X Global Retail celebrated Sustainability Day Brazil
The event took place on July 4 and brought together employees from Enel X, Market, and Energy and Commodity Management, as well as Enel partners, in panels dedicated to spreading the culture of sustainability.
Sustainability is one of the great pillars of Enel Brasil, as it is a fundamental part of the development of our business. In order to address Enel's business strategies based on sustainability, as well as its relationship with the creation of value for our products and services, on July 4 we promoted a day entirely dedicated to it: Sustainability Day Brazil.
The event was attended by the Enel X, Market, and Energy and Commodity Management teams, who discussed how, every day, there is increasing demand from customers and society to reinforce a vision focused on sustainability. By offering the solutions we offer, we’re able to respond to the challenges of the present and the future, leaving no one behind.
"The focus of Sustainability Day Brazil was to show that sustainability is not just a part of our business, it is our business and must be performed by all areas. This is reflected in the core of our strategy and in several actions already implemented by our Group in Brazil, in the very nature of the products and services we offer to our customers," says Ricardo Bomfim, Head of Sustainability Initiatives and Circular Economy at Enel X, Enel Trading, Market and Staff, who moderated the event.
Sustainability Day Brazil was divided into two panels. The first, "Our business is sustainable", was opened by Guilherme Lancastre, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Enel Brazil. Present were Nicola Tagliaferro, Head of Global Sustainability at Enel X Global Retail; Francisco Scroffa, Head of Enel X Brazil; Matteo de Zan, Head of Energy and Raw Materials Management at Enel Brazil; Luiz Flavio Xavier, Head of Marketing at Enel Brazil; and Marcia Massotti, Head of Sustainability at Enel Brazil.
"The presence of the heads of Enel X Global Retail (Enel X, Market and Energy and Commodity Management) and the Chairman of the Board in Brazil, reinforces the commitment of senior management to making our business increasingly sustainable and inclusive, and to promoting a just energy transition," said Ricardo Bomfim.
In the panel "Sustainability as seen by our partners", we had the participation of two Enel partners who presented their visions of society, universities and governments on the subject. Oswaldo Sanchez, from the Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas (IPT), and Rodrigo Perpetuo, from ICLEI - Gobiernos Locales por la Sostenibilidad (Local Governments for Sustainability) participated in the talk.
