#EnelFocusOn: a new series of informal meetings that aim to involve the key players of the digital world and initiate an Open Power dialogue about today's challenges and the challenges of tomorrow inaugurated in Rome. At our first meeting we presented the new Enel.com website and started ongoing communication with digital experts from around the world. The event, which is accompanied by the hashtag #EnelFocusOn on social media, will be hosted at Enel's main offices all around the world. Next stop, London, on November 22.
Being Open Power means being engaged in continuous improvement: we want to tackle some of the world's greatest challenges, putting ourselves out there every day. Constantly optimising our digital presence is a vital part of this approach as is constantly working to share know-how and collaborate with partners, clients and stakeholders.
The new Enel.com was presented this past Monday, 26 September 2016: an improved version of our corporate website, which expresses our ambition as a global brand, our values and our actions.
But the new Enel.com is only one of many tiles in the grand mosaic that is our path to development. Enel's journey is a passionate one, and it spans the restyling of 11 new corporate websites in key geographic areas for the Group by December 2016, as well as the imminent launch of the new consumer website in Romania, a gold standard for the consumer-oriented browsing experience.
As part of our journey toward openness and development, Open Power means that Enel is opening up to the outside and redoubling its efforts toward important stakeholders in the digital world. That's why we inaugurated the #EnelFocusOn project, a series of informal meetings with the most important web influencers on the national and international level. The meetings will be held periodically at Enel's main offices around the world.
"Being Open Power means also understanding what we have inside and outside the company. Means being able to listen, being able to interface with others"
Francesco Starace, CEO
The first meeting was opened by Enel CEO Francesco Starace, accompanied by Ryan O’Keeffe, Director of Communications, Isabella Panizza, Head of Global Digital Communications, and Andrea Falessi, Director of Communications for Enel Italia.
The meeting was held at the Group's Rome headquarters, at the historic offices on Viale Regina Margherita, and included 18 guests, crucial voices in the technology, communication, and innovation sectors in Italy. The influencers promoted the launch of the new corporate website using the #EnelFocusOn hashtag.
The event was a precious opportunity to discuss our digital identity and a chance to gather more information about how Enel's complex ecosystem and the Open Power strategy are perceived from the outside.
The event in Rome was just the first #EnelFocusOn event; similar events will be periodically hosted at Enel's main offices around the world.
