Energoland is Slovenské Elektrárne's new information centre, located near the Mochovce nuclear power plant in Slovakia, where the Enel Group is the most important operator in the power generation sector, producing around 80 percent of the country's electricity, with its nuclear, hydro and thermoelectric power plants. The centre offers a journey through the wide world of energy, from the Big Bang to the near future. It's a meeting point between the real and the virtual, where visitors of all ages can learn more about the relationship between man and energy.

Visitors, and in particular youngsters, will be able to observe the wide range of activities that revolve around the production of electricity through 33 interactive sections that combine art, knowledge and practical applications.

The centre is equipped with cutting-edge display technology that helps tell the story of energy since the dawn of time. The venue also features an auditorium, which is equipped to host events and training courses, and a 3D theatre with 30 seats that holds screenings of the Energy Odyssey.

The virtual tour allows visitors to find out more about the energy produced by the human body, through a large thermal mirror, go for a power race on the interactive LED floor or try one of the many interactive games. In the game Electric Grid Operator, players develop a plan to supply power to a country in order to prevent a blackout, while in Energopolis, players build the power plants needed to supply electricity to communities.

Laura E. Kennedy, US Governor in the Board of Governors of AIEA and Chargé d'Affaires at the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Vienna, called Energoland 'a five-star information centre' when she visited the Mochovce plant. Kennedy also visited the main control room and saw both the activities of the Emergency Response Centre and the plant's safety systems.
