{{item.title}}

Universal access to electrical energy is a fundamental condition to be achieved if Africa is to fulfil its potential for inclusive economic growth. In this perspective renewable resources are a unique instrument for sustainable development in both environmental and social terms. How to speed up the spread of clean energy in Africa is the subject of the new #EnelFocusOn taking place in Addis Ababa on 18 June, and live-streamed from 3 p.m. (GMT +3).

The keynote speaker at the event will be David Pilling, Africa editor for the Financial Times, handling economics and politics. He is the author of the book “The Growth Delusion: Wealth, Poverty and the Well-Being of Nations.”

Also taking part in the discussion are Antonio Cammisecra, CEO of Enel Green Power, and a panel of influencers and experts from Africa, Italy, Spain and the USA. Proceedings will be introduced by Isabella Panizza, Head of Global Communications Digital Hub at Enel, and they will be concluded by Michele Bologna, Head of Communications at Enel Green Power.

This is the sixteenth #EnelFocusOn, and the first in Africa. The others were held in New York, San Francisco, Boston, Rome, Santiago, Chile, London, Goiânia, Madrid, Bucharest and Bogotá.
